Miranda Luby is an author, freelance journalist and copywriter living on Victoria's Surf Coast.

Her feature stories appear in publications such as National Geographic, BBC, Nourish and Kidspot and her columns have been syndicated by the Daily Mail and the New York Post. Her publicity has gained global coverage in media outlets such as Fox News, The Guardian, Geek and more, including local coverage on Sunrise, 7:30 Report and in The Sunday Age. She also writes copy for businesses, brands and not-for-profit organisations. 

Miranda is an award-winning fiction writer. Her debut, Text Prize-shortlisted novel is coming with Text Publishing in 2022. She has been shortlisted for the Commonwealth Prize, awarded a Varuna Residency Fellowship, an Australian Society of Authors Award Mentorship, a Neilma Sidney Literary Travel Fund Grant, a Katherine Suzanne Prichard Fellowship and earned a place in the ACT Writers Centre's professional development program, HARDCOPY. Her short stories have been published by Bloomsbury in the UK and Margaret River Press. 

Miranda has worked as a lifestyle journalist and editor for News Corp and a Senior Reporter for Zoos Victoria. Her work and passions have taken her to more than 50 countries but she calls the Surf Coast in Victoria home. You can find her in the water most days.
