No plans this arvo? Kids running amok? TV on the fritz? Don't worry, we've got your summer sorted.

The Lara Hotel has undergone a revamp and locals, families and visitors alike love the new look.

Just in time for summer, the bistro, bar and gaming area have been totally transformed into an even better space for you, your friends or the whole family to enjoy an afternoon out.

The eatery, which serves family-friendly bistro-style meals, is looking its best with new lighting, carpet and furniture. There is also a renovated outdoor eating area and a new summer menu on its way to accompany the changes.

Fox Sports has been installed in the public bar showing a whole summer’s worth of great sporting action, while the already-popular kids’ playroom has a new toddler area with a fun train theme making it easier than ever to bring the kids along on your day out.

A newly-designated function room is the perfect spot for small events and for community groups to get together and the hotel’s bigger gaming room with more machines means an increased involvement in community groups through sponsorships. The Lara Hotel sponsors the Lara Basketball Club and the Golf Club and recently made a donation to Lara Primary School to help reinstall their shade sails.

Owner of the Lara Hotel Andrew Wood said all the new changes to his establishment is exciting news for locals and visitors and he can’t wait for people to come and check it out. “The place is looking fantastic and I think people are really going to love the new additions."

Mr Wood said families in particular will love how easy it is to come out to the Lara Hotel with the kids and not have to worry about them. “It makes a relaxed atmosphere for everyone when they know the whole family can have a great time.
